Awards & Accreditation

Good Shepherd is a select member of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI), an organization composed of like-minded leaders in the fields of hospice, palliative care and advanced illness with expertise and passion for the highest quality, person and family-centered, mission-oriented end-of-life care.

We are a Level Four We Honor Veterans partner, accredited by the National Institute for Jewish Hospice and have participated in comprehensive Open Door Task Force training and consultation with the LGBT Aging Project.

We were a 2016 Hospice Honors recipient by Deyta Analytics, a division of HEALTHCAREfirst, recognizing those hospices providing the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view, and the 2016 recipient of the LeadingAge MA Program Innovation Award for our first in the Nation Russian-Speaking Hospice Program.

In 2011, our longtime Home Health Aide, Vilma Barrios, became the first certified nursing assistant and first hospice caregiver to receive the honor of being presented with the Schwartz Center Compassionate Caregiver Award.
