Good Shepherd Hospice Residence

Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence

Located at 10 Green Way, (on the Residence at Paine Estate property) this newly refurbished residence features 10 private suites and offers around the clock comprehensive compassionate hospice care and support. We are honored and excited to expand the clinical expertise and excellence that Good Shepherd is well known for to this new residential setting.

The Parlin is a home-like private residence where terminally ill patients can live and receive high quality end of life care from expertly trained hospice staff. The residence is staffed with licensed professional nurses and home care aides.

Patients receive comprehensive counseling, spiritual care and volunteer services as well as complementary therapies like music, art and pet therapy. With patient care being met by a team of professionals, the family is able to spend quality time with their loved one rather than focus on caregiving.

Hospice care at The Parlin is covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private health insurance while room and board is paid privately.

Good Shepherd is able to provide bed subsidies to financially eligible patients who would not otherwise be able to afford residential hospice care. Our bed subsidy program is funded in part by generous funding from The Parmenter Foundation and Springwell, the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs and the Federal Administration for Community Living.
