Support Groups

What is a Support Group?

An opportunity for individuals to meet on a regular basis to discuss the experience of loss together and exchange mutual support. Groups are commonly formed to include members experiencing similar losses in order to focus on areas of shared difficulty. Support groups take place in a safe, confidential space and are facilitated by experienced members of the Good Shepherd Counseling Services Team.

Good Shepherd offers a variety of support groups which are free of charge and open to the community including but not limited to:

  • Loss of a Parent
  • Loss of a Spouse or Partner
  • Caregiver Support
