The Founders

The Camp Erin Boston Golf Tournament was established in 2017 by longtime Wayland residents, Marilynn and Ron Rokes. Inspired by a segment on Good Morning America highlighting the Camp Erin children’s bereavement program, Marilynn felt an immediate calling to get involved. Since then, both she and Ron have shown unwavering dedication to supporting this meaningful cause.

Marilynn, a committed volunteer and Senior Underwriter at AIM Mutual Insurance, and Ron, an avid golfer and retired Wayland firefighter, formalized the tournament to raise awareness for Camp Erin Boston and to engage their extensive network of friends and family. Through their strong ties to the Metrowest community, they have inspired countless individuals to join them in championing the mission of Camp Erin through participation, sponsorship, and advocacy. With their help, the Camp Erin Boston Golf Tournament has raised over $65,000 for the program. They continue to be a driving force of the tournament, now in its eighth year.

Marilynn and Ron exemplify the true spirit of community service. Their journey stands as a testament to the power of compassion and connection, showing that even in the face of loss, it is possible to create hope and healing for others.
