Your involvement in this event would be invaluable. The program provides critical support services to children and families navigating the difficult journey of grief,
offering individual counseling, support groups, and day camp experiences that help them to honor their person, learn more about the grieving process, and connect with others who have
experienced a similar loss. The need for these services continues to grow, and membership in our Host Committee will directly impact the lives of children who have experienced loss.
For many of those in the HEARTplay community, the hoedown has a special and sentimental value. Since 2016, HEARTplay hoedowns have brought together past participants,
longtime volunteers and community partners to a shared space of healing and hope in support of a program that has and will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of so many children
and families. The hoedown elements of contra band and line dancing are special parallels to the dance-movement therapy practices that have been shared with HEARTplay participants for
decades.
